16V lithium-ion batteries
Newer Teslas use a 16V lithium-ion low-voltage battery instead of the older 12V one. After a replacement it needs a reset and configuration, which we do as part of the job.

Heat pumps
The Model Y, and the Model 3 from the 2021 model year, use a heat pump that heats and cools both the cabin and the battery, so an AC fault can also affect charging in summer.

Recalls and warranty repairs
Recalls Tesla has recalled parts on some cars, including battery-pack contactors on some recent Model 3 and Model Y. Recall repairs are free at Tesla: check your VIN with Tesla first.

Tesla service and independent workshops
Tesla looks after warranty repairs and recalls through its own service. For work outside the warranty, and for jobs such as radiator deep cleaning, suspension parts and 16V batteries, you can also use an independent workshop.
At EV Zone we work on the Tesla Model 3, Model Y, Model S and Model X. The pages for each model list the jobs we do on them: Model 3, Model Y and Model S and Model X.
What to send before you come
The model and year, the mileage if you know it, and a photo of any warning on the screen. For noises, a short video with the sound helps us understand what is going on before the car arrives.

No. EV Zone is an independent workshop. We are not part of Tesla and not authorised by it; we use the Tesla name only to say which cars we work on.
