Imported ID. models
Many ID.4 and ID.6 cars in the UAE were imported from China. Volkswagen Middle East says its dealers cannot service these cars or update them online, so their owners often need an independent workshop for software and repairs.

12V battery first
A weak 12V battery can trigger warnings on the ID.4 and ID.6 that look like much bigger faults, and it must be healthy before a software update. It is one of the first things to test.

The ID.4 and ID.6
The ID.4 is Volkswagen’s compact electric SUV; the ID.6 is a larger model with up to seven seats, made for the Chinese market. Both rely heavily on software for the screen, driver assistance, charging and battery management, so updates and a healthy 12V battery matter more than on older cars.
