About EV Zone
Is EV Zone an official Tesla, Volkswagen or BYD service centre?
No. EV Zone is an independent workshop. We are not part of Tesla, Volkswagen or BYD, not authorised by them and not their agent. We use their names only to say which cars we work on.
Which cars do you work on?
The Tesla Model 3, Model Y, Model S and Model X, the Volkswagen ID.4 and ID.6, and the BYD Han and Dolphin. For other electric cars, send the make, model and year on WhatsApp and we will tell you whether we can help.
Where are you, and when are you open?
18 St, Industrial Area 11, Sharjah. We are open Saturday to Thursday, 08:00 to 19:00, and closed on Friday. The contact page has the map links.
What is your Arabic trade name?
المنطقة لصيانة السيارات الكهربائية is our licensed Arabic trade name. Zone Electrical Auto Maint L.L.C S.P is the legal name on our Sharjah trade licence, and EV Zone is the name on our sign and our Google listing.
Estimates and booking
How do I get an estimate?
Send the model, year and what you notice on WhatsApp, with a photo or video if you can, or use the quote form. For most faults, the final price depends on what the diagnosis finds.
Can I wait while the car is worked on?
There is a customer lounge at the workshop.
I am coming from Dubai or Abu Dhabi. Anything I should know?
Message us first so the trip is worth it. The page for Dubai and Abu Dhabi owners covers the route, hours and what to bring.
Warranty and recalls
My car has a recall. Can you do the work?
Recall repairs are free at the manufacturer, so take the car to Tesla, Volkswagen or BYD for recall work. You can check your VIN with the manufacturer first.
High voltage and technical
Is it safe to drive with a warning on the screen?
Follow what the message says. A red warning, or one that tells you to stop, pull over or that the car may not restart, means stop when it is safe to do so. For other messages, send us a photo on WhatsApp before driving far.
Can I work on the high-voltage system myself?
No. The orange cables and the parts in the battery pack can hold a dangerous charge even with the car switched off. Leave high-voltage work to trained technicians.
Do you do Tesla software updates?
Tesla sends its software updates over the air. We program cars after replacing parts such as a PCS, contactors or a pyro fuse, and we update the software on VW ID.4 and ID.6 cars. See software updates and programming.
