Who we are

This website is run by Zone Electrical Auto Maint L.L.C S.P, trading as EV Zone (المنطقة لصيانة السيارات الكهربائية), a single-person limited liability company licensed by the Sharjah Economic Development Department, trade licence no. 900991. Our workshop is at 18 St, Industrial Area 11, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. We decide how the personal data described here is used. You can reach us about privacy at info@evzoneuae.com.

What we collect

Quote requests. When you use the quote form we collect your name, mobile number, optional email address, how you prefer us to reply, your car’s make, model and year, the system you think is involved, your description of the problem, your preferred day and time, and your consent tick. We also record the page you sent it from, the site language and the time.
WhatsApp messages and calls. When you chat with us on WhatsApp or call us, we see your phone number, your name as shown in WhatsApp, and whatever you send us, such as photos or videos of your car.
Website use. Our web server records technical information such as your IP address, browser and the pages requested, as every website does. To protect the quote form from spam, we keep a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address with each request, never the address itself.
Analytics, only with your consent. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics records how the site is used, for example which pages are visited and which buttons are tapped. We do not send your name, phone number or messages to Google Analytics.

Please do not include other people’s personal data, or sensitive information you do not need to share, in the form or in photos.

Why we use it

To reply to your request, give you an estimate and arrange the work on your car, which you ask us to do.
To keep records of the work we have done on your car.
To keep the website and the quote form secure and free of spam.
To understand how the website is used and improve it, only if you accept analytics cookies.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Where it is stored, and who processes it

Our website and email. Quote requests are stored in our website system (WordPress) and sent to our email inbox, info@evzoneuae.com. Both are hosted by our web hosting provider, A2 Hosting, on servers in the United States.
WhatsApp. WhatsApp messages are handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own privacy policy.
Google. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics processes usage data for us. The map links open Google Maps, Apple Maps or Waze, which are run by those companies under their own policies.

Only EV Zone staff who need the information to deal with your request can see it.

How long we keep it

Quote requests stored on the website are deleted automatically 12 months after they are received. Emailed copies are deleted when they are no longer needed for your repair.
WhatsApp chats and call details are kept only as long as we need them for your repair and our records.
Analytics data is kept in our Google Analytics account for up to 14 months, as set in that account.
Your cookie choice is stored for 6 months.

Cookies

When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Accept and Reject are equally easy, and nothing is tracked until you choose.

evz_consent: remembers your choice for 6 months. It is needed for the banner to work.
_ga and _ga_<ID>: set by Google Analytics only after you accept. They distinguish visits and can last up to 2 years unless you clear them or change your choice.

We do not use advertising cookies. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page, or by clearing cookies in your browser.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Email info@evzoneuae.com with your request and the phone number you used, so we can find your data. We reply as soon as we can. We may need to keep some records where the law requires it, for example invoices.

Security

The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Quote requests are not public, are not listed in search engines and can only be read by logged-in staff. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send more information than we need.

Children

This website is meant for car owners and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
