In detail
Why check a used EV before you buy
An electric car has fewer moving parts than a petrol car, but the parts it does have are valuable: the high-voltage battery, the drive unit, the cooling system and the electronics that manage them. Their condition decides how the car drives, how far it goes on a charge and what it is worth later.
What to bring
The car and its key or key card, any service or repair invoices the seller has, and photos of any warnings shown on the screen. If the car has a phone key, the seller needs to be able to unlock and drive it.
